• Robert Pearlman

Long before Bob became an actor, he saw Bleacher Bums in a small theater in Los Angeles. To this day, he thinks it’s one of the funniest plays he’s ever seen and it combines his two loves: baseball and comedy. That’s why Bob decided to produce and direct Bleacher Bums and cast it with talented actors and fun generous people. Hopefully you will enjoy the fruits of our labor.

  • Tara Spires

Tara is excited for the opportunity to work on such a fun show! When she is not acting, she works as a full-time caregiver in a group home for those with developmental disabilities. A native of California, Tara moved to Colorado in 2017. She received a BA in theatre in 2013 and an MFA in 2019 and has the student loan debt to prove it! She thanks you all for coming out and supporting live theatre.

  • DJ Spires

DJ is excited to be performing in his first professional play! He is a 6th grader at Broomfield Heights Middle School, and enjoys acting and dance. DJ plays the drums and does parkour in his free time. He also enjoys hanging out with friends, sports and gaming. He hopes you enjoy the show!

  • Leslee Pearlman

Although Leslee has applauded her husband’s second career – from teacher to actor, she’s never jumped into theater before. Bleacher Bums is her first show as a stage manager and an actor. Producing it with Bob has been fun, exciting and a wee bit stressful. Leslee is glad she’s had this experience and that she’s still married.

  • Reid Walker

Reid was a theater major before he came to his senses and became a science teacher. Still, the urge to be on stage is strong for this guy; he’s performed in dozens of plays over the years. Favorite roles: Santa in Murder in the Knife Room and a robber on a real train in Railroad Hijinx. Reid was a long-time Cubs fan, until he couldn’t take it anymore. He’s now a Rockies fan, until he can’t take it anymore.

  • Mike Klenker

Mike is thrilled to be part of this hilarious play in his debut performance at the Roaming Gnome. He has been seen in many other productions in the Denver area over the years. Some of his favorite roles have been the monster in Young Frankenstein, Wardell in Sordid Lives, Bartlett in 1776, Horace Vandergelder in Hello Dolly!, Caiaphas in Jesus Christ Superstar, and Santa in Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. He thanks Bob and the cast and crew for their dedication and professionalism. All his love to his greatest supporter, Shelly. Thank you for supporting live theatre!

He embarked on his theater journey in 2022 by taking classes at Denver Center for Performing Arts. Although Amit's foray into the world of acting has only just begun, he brings with him a genuine enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

In the last year, Amit has been a part of three productions including Mad Forest, We Were Dancing and Ideation. In Bleacher Bums, Amit is excited to portray his character Greg's "blind" love for baseball and hopes that it resonates deeply with the audience.

  • Erin Slimak

Erin is thrilled to be joining the cast of Bleacher Bums and returning to her childhood cheerleading roots. While she hasn't been on a cheer team since 5th grade, Erin frequented the stage even earlier as an actor, improvisor, designer, sketch comic and producer. Favorite credits include Puck in Midsummer Night’s Dream, Pozzo in Waiting for Godot and Herself in Being There. She currently performs with The Loose Screws Improv, The Sic Sense, The Murder Mystery Company, and is a founding member of Miscreant Theatre Collective. Erin wants to thank Bob for trusting her to be the most insane and enthusiastic character she can dream of, her fiancée for being the inspiration to be a die-hard baseball fanatic, and the cast and crew for a super fun production!
